Home¶
Welcome to our documentation site!
This is now the home of VATSIM UK procedures for all ATC positions.
This site is still a work in progress - all Airfield Controller Briefings (ACBs) have been converted to the new digital document format. However, conversion of vMATS Part 2 PDFs and Crib Sheets will take a bit longer, so you may find these embedded in PDF format for the time being.
Where do I start?¶
We suggest all users head to the General front page to begin with as this sets out some key things like abbreviations, interpreting 'operative words' and how time is referenced.
The site is split into three top-level sections which we hope will be relatively easy to navigate:
- Aerodrome - digital and embedded PDF documentation for UK airfields
- Enroute - embedded PDF documentation for London (EGTT) and Scottish (EGPX) area control
- General - general (non-location specific) procedures and advice on the set up and use of controller software
Search on this site allows you to find particular pages or documents, even the specific paragraphs you're looking for! (However, please note this is only true for converted documents and not embedded PDFs!)
Reporting Errors¶
If you spot an error in any of the content on this site, please report it to the Operations team by either:
- Opening a ticket via the Helpdesk - select Help Topic
Operations / Documents & Procedures
, or - Emailing [email protected] (this will open a Helpdesk ticket).
